About FFD, Contact & Prices
Fantasia Frog Designs can create a variety of styles, genres, and products for you. Contact me here “fantasiafrog2020 (@) gmail (dot) com” and include a description of the type of Work you would like done and I will get back to you. I am no longer accepting all projects, nor will I accept a project where I am asked to duplicate another designer’s work. I recommend browsing through my premades to see if there is already a design style or font type that might work for you. Many of my Non-erotic/Gay designs have been moved to either spittyfish.wordpress.com or selfpubbookcovers.com/spittyfishdesigns
FFD creates many types of book genres, the exceptions being any topic involving animal cruelty, child pornography, torture, rape, or incest.
Fantasia Frog Designs creates new and unique covers for each author. Once an image is used, it is taken out of our available files. That way no two covers can be duplicated, (sold twice). We work hard to find individualized images, and each Royalty Free licence we purchase, (often/if not always), allows for 1 use per purchase. We are an ethical company, and won’t take advantage of this licence agreement. Thanks for your understanding in this. If an author provides an image, we may ask you to sign a waiver stating you are the party responsible for that image.
Paypal is the preferred method of payment.
Custom Design –
Chasing down payments is one of the worst parts of being a freelancer, but it is necessary as I have bills too. Please be aware that, as per my terms, additional interest will be applied on an invoice more than 30 days past its due date.
If a project has been signed off on/closed/completed, but you would like alterations, add ons, or changes made, there is an additional fee.
If you drop out of contact mid-project, the design will be created into a premade bookcover and we will no longer accept new work projects from you.
If the project goes past 3 proofs, the project moves from a flat rate to an hourly rate. please contact us via the Inquiry Form.
Rush fee – If you need your book cover rushed (within one week), there is a $30 rush fee, though we much prefer not to rush projects out of the order they are taken. We are currently running within a two week turn around, but most are finished within a week.
Please read our FAQ page and terms of Use

Sales Agreement – terms – copyright
Fantasia Frog Design Artwork Policy
Fantasia Frog Designs owns the copyright to the artwork. That said, you are free to promote your cover/artwork freely, while remaining within the maximum print license limits. All photo stock images have a copyright, and a maximum print run. That includes bookmarks, print book covers, postcards, labels, rack cards, business cards, etc… any printed material using the images designed by Fantasia Frog Designs. If you do not know the maximum amount you are allowed to print, just ask us, and we can give you the details. If you know ahead of time that you will need a very high print run, please, let us know at the photo stock searching/purchasing time and we can choose a license that fits your needs. High print run licenses may alter the cost of the design (most often, this is not the case as most photo stock licenses are very generous.)
Use of Fantasia Frog Design cover art does have limitations, and at some point you may receive notice the cover must be taken out of circulation ( I have never had to do this yet).
If you purchase and provide your own image, I will need to know where you purchased it from and the type of license, but the license for that image remains with you, the purchaser.
Time spent on project and alterations
Creating artwork takes time and care. We try not to push “rush” projects ahead of others, and if we have a heavy work load, we will give you our best estimate as to how long it will take to get your finished design to you. We charge $30.00 to rush an order through, but it really is not preferred. If you have been inactive/unresponsive, or let the project drop without notice, the cover will be reworked and made into a premade bookcover (if I provided the images) and I will no longer work on your future projects.
Payment
Payment for cover art designs is due upon project completion, unless requested otherwise. Customers who are late or have not paid for projects previously may be requested to pay up front. Customers who are late (after two months of the invoice issued) will be charged 3% on top of their bill each month it is late until payment is completed.
Invoicing and late payments
Chasing down payments is one of the worst parts of being a freelancer, but it is necessary as I have bills too. Please be aware that as per my terms, additional interest will be applied on an invoice more than 30 days past its due date.

Photo stock Restrictions and logos-This site lays it out quite well. http://www.stockphotorights.com
-This site has a great rating for logos. 99designs.ca
-Most photo stock sites don't allow images to be used for logos under their standard licence. To use a photo stock image in a logo, it is most often a much higher price.
Here’s an example from Shutterstock.
“A: You cannot use any of our images of people in a derogatory way. … Use any Shutterstock image as part of a trademark, service mark, or logo. However, you may attempt to purchase an exclusive license to the image, giving you exclusive usage and rights to use it in logos, etc. Resell or share Shutterstock image licenses.”
